This is a real favourite with our family in fact I do not think my Mother has ever been to this park without seeing Beauty and the Beast!

It is a mini-version of Disney’ s 30th animated classic, Beauty and the Beast, and it features the popular characters and songs from the film in a lavish, Broadway style production. The first production of this was at the Disney Hollywood Studios in 1991.

This show lasts approximately 20 minutes and is performed several times each day.

After a Beauty and the Beast show is finished the nearby attractions such as Tower of Terror and Rock ’ n’ Roller Coaster can become very busy with the crowds exiting the show heading in their direction. This is a great time for you to start queuing to see the show. Alternatively try shopping along Sunset Boulevard for a while before joining the queue for the show.

In case they are needed the nearest restrooms and telephones are located at the end of Sunset Boulevard, to the right as you exit the Theatre of the Stars.

I would recommend that you arrive 20 minutes prior to the show to be guaranteed a seat and you will also to hear the warm-up act.

The Theatre of the Stars holds 1, 500 guests.

Although the stage is clearly visible from most of the amphitheatre, sitting in the middle or rear of the theatre offers a view of the entire stage and the sets.

You may be seated 30 minutes prior to the show’ s start; there is frequently a live performer to entertain you while you wait. The last time we went the act was the excellent cappella group Four for a Dollar, whish were well worth listening to.

The twenty-minute show mirrors the film upon which it’ s based telling the story of Belle, a beautiful but bookish girl who lives in a small French town. The macho Gaston pursues Belle as she yearns for a different life. Her father, Maurice, stumbles upon the enchanted castle of the Beast, and, to free him, Belle offers herself as prisoner in his stead. Under the anxious eyes of Mrs. Potts, Lumiere and Cogsworth, among others, Belle grows to love the Beast and, despite the efforts of the townspeople led by the jilted Gaston there is a real fairytale ending. You will love the songs, which include our favourite, the popular Be Our Guest. Look out for the huge bats in the forest scene they have 8-foot wingspans!

Although there are no character Meet and Greet opportunities at this attraction, Belle and Beast can sometimes be found in Disney Hollywood Studios. Check your daily Guide Map for times and locations.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we always do.
