We are lucky that we can stay at our villa in Orlando and when we do we often stay in for breakfast. We tend to have completely different breakfast from what we would have at home. Granddad goes to Publix which is less than a mile away and buys fresh bagels and rolls and the local papers.

The girls start with the Coco Pebble cereal we buy in Florida. Fresh Coffee is brewed and eggs are boiled and we have these with our bagels and rolls, plum tomatoes, a selection of cold meats and Philadelphia cheese.

If you are eating out here are so many breakfast options in Orlando. My only word of caution is if you want breakfast out on a Sunday go early as the restaurants get very busy later on.

All you can Eat restaurants are great value for money and set the whole family up for a busy day at the parks. We usually have one of these if we are going to the Gulf Coast for the day or going to one of the Parks.

Shoneys tend to be more expensive than the others and offer less selection but we enjoy the food there. In addition to the usual breakfast favourites they have fried chicken and rice which our youngest girl loves. My Mother loves their salad items (yes for breakfast) and has a load of this along with hard boiled eggs and fried potatoes.

For a vast array of food try Golden Coral you will not be disappointed. Omelettes can be cooked to order and you can help yourself to steak and large pieces of ham along with lots of other breakfast goodies. For those with a sweet tooth there are plenty of cakes, crumbles and ice cream.

Ponderosa and Sizzlers both offer All you can Eat breakfasts although we have not been to one for some time.

If you like pancakes go to IHop (International House of Pancakes) you will be amazed at the choice.

Dennys do an a la carte breakfast and great coffee. There is a varied menu, some of our party have the Grand Slam breakfast, the girls usually have something with pancakes whilst my Mother always has the Steak, egg and home fries.

Cracker Barrel is a lovely relaxing restaurant to go to for breakfast and you can sit on the rocking chairs on the front porch afterwards. I must admit though we have yet to get our order right tending to end up with loads of different dishes that we did not appreciate we had ordered. Whilst the girls and Granddad go to the rocking chairs after the meal Mom and I have a mooch around the shop.

If you really want to do a Disney breakfast go to one of the character breakfasts that are offered in the Parks but be sure to pre-book or you may be disappointed.
