There are many places to dine out in the Orlando area, most of which are in the style of American diners. These are great for everyday dining, but sometimes it is nice to have a more special meal – and what better place than Café d’Antonio at Celebration!
If you haven’t been to Celebration – in itself it is an interesting place to visit. Built in the traditional American Colonial style, the homes are all individual and a drive through the tree lines streets will be an experience you won’t forget! The focal point of the town is Market Street with many individual shops and of course at Christmas time is the place in central Florida to see snow!
Café d’Antonio is an Italian restaurant which is in a prime location at the end of Market Street, overlooking the lake. Owned by a genuine Italian family, the restaurant has a unique feel abut it – and although the family do own other restaurants in Florida this doesn’t feel like just one of a chain!
The dining room is bordered by a small bar and is in view of the traditional open Italian oven. The tables are laid up with crisp white table cloths which give the restaurant an upmarket feel yet the warm Italian style welcome makes all diners feel at home.
There is an area outside, looking out over the lake. Here diners can eat al fresco in the summer months and in the winter months there is a see through plastic protector in place and patio heaters which ensures that you get the feel of al fresco eating even during the colder evenings.
The menu is typical Italian – and you are spoilt for choice! Children are welcome and catered for. There is a lunchtime menu for those who want to while away a relaxing lunch time!
Café d’Antonio is a restaurant that we have dined at many times and taken many friends to. Sometimes we visit Celebration just to dine there – at other times we will visit Celebration for anther reason, for example to see the Christmas decorations and of course the now famous snow, so we always fit in a meal at our favourite restaurant as well!
We aren’t avid cinema goers but we have friends who often use the Celebration cinema and combine this with a meal at Antonios.
It is well worth booking in advance and in fact this is recommended during busy times.
