When we feel like a break from the parks and just want to relax, we head for Cocoa beach and in about an hour we are on one of the most beautiful stretches of beach, absolutely lovely. We normally spend the day relaxing totally winding down and nearly always visit Coconuts on the beach for our lunch……

Coconuts on the beach holds prime position right on Cocoa beach, it has breathtaking views overlooking the Atlantic ocean, great atmosphere, great service and great food .We first found it last year and now when we fancy a break from the parks and a day relaxing we usually drive to cocoa beach to relax and enjoy the wonderful beach at Cocoa and always stop off here for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks (not for the driver though)
I can’t imagine any where more relaxing with great views looking out across the Atlantic ocean.
They serve food all day long and the menu is extensive offering starters, salads, burgers, fresh fish and seafood, specials and delicious deserts, and wonderful cocktails.
I went for the chef burger, a blackened half pound burger smothered with bacon and crumbled blue cheese slightly melted, absolutely delicious.
While my husband chose the mango mahi, a grilled blackened piece of fresh mahi served with rice and black beans with mango salsa., also delicious, This is the first time I had tried mahi and I was pleasantly surprised as it is a really meaty fish and very tasty.
Unfortunately neither of us had any room for desert this time but they did look sooooo tempting and huge portions so maybe next time.
Coconuts on the beach is a real attraction in the summer months and is a great place to people watch and it comes to life in the evening with party nights, we have not stayed there that long before but maybe next time we visit we might just stay overnight and explore the area a little more.
If you are lucky you might even get to see a launch from the Kennedy space centre.
It really is worth a visit when you fancy a day relaxing and is not too far away.
