Dining at Disney's Animal Kingdom - Orlando / Florida Guide

Florida Guide > Dining

If you are looking for a different dining experience, something to make a change from the normal diners .... why not try Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

If you are holidaying with young children this may be of particular interest to you because not only is there a vast choice of food on the menu, there is also the added attraction of seeing some of the animals afterwards.

If you are driving to the Animal Kingdom the driver needs to have picture ID (Driving Licence or Passport) and then you can park right outside the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

As you walk through the reception area you will be entranced by the style of the lounge! You could just have gone back in time by about 75 years to colonial Africa. The style of the decor and furnishings are fascinating!

Go down the stairs and you will find the restaurant.

The server will show you to your seats and take your drinks order. Make our way to the buffet. It's 'eat as much as you like' - and what fabulous quality! The salmon is highly recommended! The restaurant has won awards for the best vegetarian menu in Orlando - and for those who are vegetarian this is a dream come true! It is normally quite hard to find vegetarian options in Orlando - but here at Boma there is plenty of choice!

Don't forget to leave some room for the sumptuous desserts!

Having finished your meal why not then round the evening off by wandering around outside the hotel where you can see various animals grazing both in the distance and at close quarters.

Zebra, giraffe, wildebeest and many more! You can stand for as long as you like, just watching the animals and there will be Disney staff on hand to answer questions about the various animals. For children - this is a wonderful opportunity to see these various animals at close quarters and also in a more natural environment than a zoo.

Remember that you do need to book your table well in advance as, like all the other Disney dining attractions, Boma is very popular. If you are able to book several months in advance you will be sure of the time of your choice, otherwise you will either be disappointed by not getting a table at all or by having to go at a time that doesn't suit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Boma and will be booking again for our next trip.

The contact number for Boma, or indeed any other Disney Dining Experience is 407 939 3463.

Enjoy!
