Anyone for shopping? If the answer is yes, then you will adore Downtown Disney, an eclectic range of fantastic shops with masses of free parking. This is the continuation of my short introduction to the stores on offer.
Disney’s Days of ChristmasThis is one of my favourite shops in Downtown Disney and our holiday is never complete until we have paid a visit and bought at least one Disney decoration for our Christmas tree. Christmas decorations are available 365 day a year at reasonable prices.
Disney Pin TradersIf you want to buy or trade in pins this is the place to visit. Swap with other visiting guests and Disney Cast Members. Whether you are new to this phenomenon or an old hand you will be sure to find a plethora of good quality pins for your collection.
Disney’s Wonderful World of MemoriesAdjoining the Art of Disney this shop specializes in scrapbooks, photo albums and stationary. Plenty of stickers and kits are available along with a variety of Disney themed books, postcards, picture frames, magnets, pens and photo accessories.
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate ShopThis is another of my favourites and it will be yours too if you love chocolate!
Some of the nicest chocolate I have ever tasted is at the Ghirardelli Chocolate Shop. Look for the specials as you walk through the door, these are usually bags of Ghirardelli signature SQUARES with 4 different fillings tied with a colourful ribbon. Chocolate bars, malted milk balls and gift baskets are amongst the other tempting treats available. As you enter be sure to look for the member of staff who hands out the free samples!
Goofy’ s Candy CoThis is so much more than a candy store. Brightly coloured with row upon row of self serve bins full of candies. Try a custom built slushie at Goofy’s Glacier. Pick up your souvenir “Build –A-Cup” and for $6 you will receive your choice of slushie and your unique set of hat and feet. Your cup will be fitted into the feet whilst your hat will sit on top! Pre-packaged candies are also available and for those with dietary restrictions there are a small number of sugar free candies from which to choose.
House of Blues Company StoreThis store is situated inside The House of Blues Restaurant and features themed products, hard to find books and diverse music collections amongst many other original souvenirs. You can even buy the cooking sauces, which are served in the restaurant so that you can take them home and use them for your own recipes.
