If you are travelling back from Sanford Airport why not pre-book The Guest House, the VIP departure lounge where you can relax in style before your flight back home. One of the great things about The Guest House is that they allow children and adults.

If you have younger children they have a playroom for under 5's with toys and games. For older children and adults why not try the entertainment centre, which is equipped with eight Sony Playstation 2 consoles that each play different games.

There is also a small movie theatre showing DVD’s for all ages. If you need to check your e-mail or use the Internet there are 2 computers to use free of charge. The Guest house also has British and American newspapers and you get 2 tokens for alcoholic drinks, wine or beer, free per person plus unlimited soft drinks and snacks for the kids.

When you book in at reception they give you a wristband in case you want to venture out and buy duty free or look at the shops and come back again. There is a baggage storage area so you can store your hand luggage. Great for heavier things.

They also call your flights too, so you don’t have to worry about missing your plane.

There is a reading room with comfortable chairs and sofa’s to relax in. It’s definitely a quiet haven if you have a while to wait for your flight. This was a bonus for us it was lovely and peaceful.

As you can check in at Sanford any time from 10am no matter what time your flight is. We found this so much better than waiting in the departure lounge. You can order food and buy drinks in the bar and restaurant area where they have tables and chairs and you can use up left over dollars .

The Guest House is a premium lounge that is attached to the main departure terminal. I would book directly with Sanford airport before you leave for your holiday. When we were there it was $20 for over 21s and $15 for under. They took a credit card number but they do not deduct any money until you actually check in on the day of your return flight, again You can even pay with your left over dollars.

Ring Sanford Airport direct on 001-407-585-4000 & ask for the Guest Services reception desk. Make sure you know your flight number beforehand & have your credit card available.

This has to be the ultimate way to end your Florida holiday and I would highly recommend it. Why not have a look at the Sanford Airport website for more details.
