The Holiday Adventure Begins
The morning breaks and we are ready
To drive to the airport very steady
It’s holiday time and off we go
To our villa from so long ago
After a drive of 2 hours or so
Arrive at the car park here we go
Unload the car and catch the bus
That takes us to the terminus
Check in at the Virgin desk
Premium economy please we need a rest
Go through security, that’s OK
Find a seat if one is free
Get a coffee, have a drink
The wife is shopping so I think
Buy some perfume spend some cash
Will we have to make the usual dash
To the gate as we always do
Excuse me folks, please let me through
We don’t want to miss our plane
I swear we will never shop again
What is that, the flight is called
Go to the gate and get on board
We are privileged to get on first
Find our seat and we are served
Champagne or orange juice
To this service I could get used
Pleasant air crew pas the time
I love flying anytime
The plane moves we are pushed back
The engines start what a great crack
Taxi to the runway here
The jets roar and we can’t hear
The force that pushes you into your seat
And we are moving, really neat
It all goes quiet and we are off
Climbing and turning into our trough
We are now at cruising height
Here comes the drinks, a scotch and dry
No ice please in the glass
I like it here in Premium class
Dinner is served and it is good
I have never understood
Why some folks don’t like airplane food
I think it is very good
Several hours pass we are nearly there
In our descent, and all is fair
See the highway down below
And the cars as they flow
Here’s the runway, that came quick
Hear the skidding as we hit
Engines roar, feel the force
Taxi up to the doors
Unload the plane, off we get
Pick up our luggage we’re not there yet
In the queue to get our car
Off we go now not to far
On the road don’t miss that turn
Get out the Sun Pass, fix it firm
417 here we come
Through the toll booths one by one
Join the I4 by Micky’s ears
The pylon that’s been there for years
It looks magic lit at night
But lets get “home”, that’s my plight
Turn on to the 27
Not long now we’ll be in heaven
Take a left, we’re nearly there
There we are the estate looks fair
Arrive at our villa, here we are
Look around and get in the car
Publix or Wal-Mart here we come
Get some food in then we’re done
So the circle comes around
In the US once more we’re found
Buy some stuff to ensure
Our villa will be perfect for next year.
