If you are a fan of Burgers then Florida (in fact most of the USA) is certainly the place for you!
Starting with the Burger joints we all know and love and have in the UK, there is the Burger King and of course McDonalds, every child’s favourite. ! They now have outlets all over the world as far away as China and most children love them from the time they are able to say “ mine is a big Mac “ Cheeseburgers, Big Macs, Whoppers, BLT’s every conceivable variety you can think of.
The McDonalds in Orlando , the one on International Drive is said to be the largest in the world.
The Burgers in America always seem to me by far better than the ones we get in the UK I never go into a Burger joint in the UK but I am a regular visitor in the States, to me the meat is far superior to that of the UK ones.
But leaving those two that we all know and love there are many others, one of my favourites is Wendy’s, the meat is brilliant quality and if you ask any locals which take away Burger outlet they use there is many of them that won’t go anywhere else but Wendy’s, so if you haven’t tried one of those you might be pleasantly surprised. My only criticism is that they are huge and I usually can’t finish them! But that is a usually thing with most portion sizes in the States.
Another one to try is Fudruckers (what a name hey! ) but joking aside the Burgers there are fantastic. Fudruckers is on the right as you go into
Festival bay mall, which is down the bottom end of International Drive towards which used to be the Belz (that’s another story)
The burgers are behind a display cabinet as you go in to order so you can choose which size one you want, from the usual 2oz (my size one) right up to 1lb ones, yes 1lb burgers, honestly I have never seen such big burgers in my life!
The best way to tell a good outlet for the burgers is when they ask you how you would like them cooked, like they do steaks, you then know that they have been freshly cooked and not like the ones in the other places where they are already cooked and sitting ready wrapped up for them to serve.
