Jimmy Buffet Margaretville
Jimmy Buffet’s Margaretitaville is located in City Walk next to Universal Studio, Orlando Florida. It is a great place for relaxing and a welcome escape from the fun and thrills of the two near by theme parks, Universal Studio and Islands of Adventure. The original Jimmy Buffet Margaretville restaurant is located in Key West and although the one in City Walk is not as laid back it is still a great place to visit either during the day or in the evening when it becomes a bit livelier.
The night we visited, it was on a spur of the moment decision after a trip to the near by Hard Rock Café for dinner and feeling in a party mood we decided to pop in and have a look and a couple of drinks. It was another restaurant that we often walked past, meaning to visit but never quite getting around to it. This turned out to be an excellent decision as the band was just starting up. The night we were there the band was a local band from Orlando and they were very young but excellent and we had a really enjoyable evening. We noticed we had just made it on time as the bar was now taking a cover charge and the queue was getting bigger outside. The majority of tables were cleared and there was room to have a boogie if you wanted to. We opted to sit near the bar on some stools over looking the dining area which was ideal for seeing the band. The cocktails were really tasty and we had a steady flow of Margaritas (What else)? Plus some Daiquiris, Pina Coladas, beer and coke for the driver that evening!
The food menu is bright and colorful, and although we had already eaten that evening we still had a nosey at the menu for future reference. The menu can be found online at www.margareeittaville.com. We have since eaten in the restaurant and had some really great burgers and fries all round oh and a few more cocktails just to make sure they were as good as we remembered! The service was really good and friendly.
There is also a shop where you can pick up the obligatory Parrott bits and pieces. The restaurant is generally open from 10 am until 11:30 most evening but again check the websites for details.
