What do I like about Florida - part 1 - Orlando / Florida Guide

Friends frequently ask me why do I like Florida. They have never been themselves and were intrigued that we decided to buy a house there and therefore visit at least twice a year. I shall answer my question as a villa owner as I probably see Florida in a different way to a visitor.
I never know where to start as there are just so many reasons we like Florida. Let us start with the weather, whatever time of the year you visit it will be warm. Occasionally during the months of December to February you will get cold days, we experienced this one year when we went, it did not dampen our enjoyment of the holiday though. Other times of the year we love sitting out on our pool deck in the evening, enjoying the sunset with a cold glass of wine and then eating the barbequed food cooked by my husband.
The next thing I like is our home. As soon as we walk in the front door we feel as we have come home. Everything we have put in our home is our choice so it feels like home from home. We unpack our owners closet put our personal belongings out, pour out that glass of wine, switch the laptop on and we are settled for the next few weeks. It is the one place when we are on holiday we never feel bored, if there are no jobs to be done we feel totally relaxed and do not feel under any pressure to go out. If we have visitors yes, we go off to places with them where we haven’ t been before. Every time we visit we find places to go to where we have not been before. We already have the new places lined up for our next visit. Because we are villa owners every time we go out we meet up with old and new friends. In fact we seem to do more socialising there than we do at home and we do enough of that in the UK.
All the other things about Florida are just so numerous. Let me mention just one or two for now. The ease of driving, even though there are some mad drivers just like there are in the UK. The roads are just so easy to drive on and as long as you have either a good map reader beside you or a Sat Nav it is a joy to drive. Shopping has to come next, whatever time of day you decide to do this you can. I have been know to be at Walmart at 4am in the morning as I can’ t sleep so up I get and off I go to do the grocery shopping, clothes shopping or whatever we need for the villa. At one time you had to travel quite a distance to get to the Malls but they are now popping up all over the place so you are never far from one.
