Many visitors come to Florida for different reasons, but for us its for the Theme Parks, the Sun Shine and of course the relaxed atmosphere. Magic Kingdom is one of our favourites and it is always a big deal for us when we plan our day there.

Arrive early, before the park opens so that you can watch as the Walt Disney World Steam Train pulls into the station with all your favourite characters on board. A short opening ceremony occurs before the gates are opened.

It’s a great feeling being one of the first through the gates as you enter the park which is virtually empty even though this is for such a short time. Then it’s off to the first attraction on your list of things to do for the day.

As you walk down Main Street, Cinderella’s Castle comes in to view, what a beautiful sight and an ideal opportunity to take one of your many holiday snaps. From here you can then take your day at your own pace, planning which parts of the parks you will see first and what attractions in each part of the park you will visit first.

Fastasyland

A steady walk through Cinderella’s Castle will bring you out in Fantasyland. Taking a look at the Mosaic Murals as you walk through the castle, you will be amazed. Cinderella’s Golden Carousel is right in front of you, very popular and a fantastic way to start off your day in the park.

Then it’s off to Mickey’s PhilharMagic, a 3D spectacular for all the family. Put on your 3D glasses and be prepared to be amazed as you watch the characters come to life, be prepared for some real treats for your ears, eyes and nose!

A real favourite with our youngest is Dumbo the Flying Elephant, a airborne ride where the kids can take control and fly Dumbo high or low. Only a short ride but still very popular. Queue’s soon form so you must be quick.

By now, you may be ready for a relaxing few minutes to get over the mad dash so far, so take a boat trip into It’s a Small World. A nice way to relax and cool off at any time of the day. Recently refurbished it takes you through a world full of delights, puppets and dolls. You’ll be humming the tune the rest of the day.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a favourite with every small child, A story book ride through 100 acre wood with all your favourite characters. Make sure you put this on your to do list.

Now its off to the Mad Tea Party, where you ride the Tea Cups and spin out of control in the massive cups and saucers from Alice in Wonderland. You control the speed at which they spin and the kids will love making them spin as fast as they can.
