Shopping in Miami - Orlando / Florida Guide

Florida Guide > Shopping

If you’re visiting Miami while you’re travelling around Florida then you will find a vast array of shops and malls. South Beach is a great place to start and one of my favourites is the Coconut Grove, it has numerous boutiques in a small area, you will also find two malls, one being the Coco walk with a selection of Jewellery, Gift and Clothing stores as well as cafes and restaurants. The other one is called the Streets of Mayfair; these boutiques tend to be a little pricier. In Coconut Grove you will also find shops specializing in anything from Oriental crafts to t-shirts and sunglasses.

Another place close by is called the Bayside Marketplace which has a wide range of stores which include Gift, Emporia and Fashion stores. Downtown has the famous Macy’s store as well as electronic and Jewellery.

If you want to shop for something a little different I can recommend The Coral Gables, here you will find a street known as the Miracle Mile. You have an array of retail stores complete with concierge services, as well as shops you have the Tula Italian restaurants, posh art galleries, the Colonnade Hotel as well as the Old Fire and Police Stations which were built in 1939.

Some other Miami places to shop are the Bal Harbour Mall which is quite upmarket with shops like Tiffany & Co, Gucci and Cartier and the Aventura Mall which is a little North and has over 200 shops including four Department stores, one of them being Macy’s. Here you will also find Loehmann’s which deal in cut-rate designer clothes.

One other place to recommend to you is the Downtown district of Miami on 5th Avenue between the 24th and the 29th Streets. If you like Gold and Diamonds then I can fully recommend the Seybold Building; they are famous for dealing in cut-rate Gold, Diamonds and Watches.

If you’re looking for Gifts and Souvenirs then the Bayside as already mentioned is a very reliable place with shops such as Candle Time and the Disney Store.

The world famous South Beach is probably the best place for fun mementos and gifts. The Art Deco Welcome Centre on Ocean Drive has a small but good choice including T-shirts, posters and models of Ocean Drive buildings. If you’re looking for Cigars then I can tell you that El Credito Cigar Factory in Little Havannah is the only place to go. If you like me don’ t mind shopping then you will need a good two days to explore these places I have recxommended to you, happy shopping.
