The Hard Rock Café in Orlando is right between right between Universal Studios Orlando and Islands of Adventure and it’s an excellent place to go for a nice cool rest whilst eating.
Take a look around at the pop memorabilia on the walls, mainly guitars, look at the room that has mainly Beatles memorabilia and soak in the atmosphere. What’s all that noise, oh, it’s someone’s birthday and all the waiters and waitresses are congregating to sing happy birthday to the person, all of the other diners join in too, what a lovely atmosphere.
The food is good, ranging from salads to a full rack of ribs, steaks cooked as you like them and of course some of the biggest burgers that I have ever seen.
Service is good and efficient and the waiting staff are colourful in what they do and in dealing with members of the public, however, there may be queues to get in.
One little tip is to go in the shop and for $20, you can get a loyalty card which allows you preferential entry, dining tables and discount on food purchased at any Hard Rock, anywhere in the world, that is certainly worth doing, when you have finished eating, wonder round the shop and see if there is anything that you wish to buy. A friend of mine collects Hard Rock badges from all over the world, the styles are many and diverse and he now has quite a collection.
Right in the middle of the room is the bar area above which they have a revolving pink Cadillac I think it is, anyway, an old American convertible.
Take time to wonder around the tables viewing all of the memorabilia, there are guitars from rock legends, The Who, Kiss, a coat that belonged to Elton John and if I remember correctly, one of the Sergeant Pepper uniforms in the Beatles room, letters and poems written by the late great John Lennon together with his doodle type drawings.
Next time that you are at Universal, or Islands of Adventure, whether it be lunch time or time for your evening meal, give the Hard Rock Café a visit, it’s a great experience, not only of the food, but also the memorabilia and of course the atmosphere created by the staff there.
As I said before, you will find it right on the lake between Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure. Give it a try.
