The Millenia Mall
The Mall at Millenia or The Millenia Mall, which ever way you say the name, doesn’t change the fact that this place has to be one of the best shopping malls I have ever experienced. The Mall can probably boast the finest collection of designer brands in the Orlando area. A trip to The Millenia Mall has to be a must for the visiting holiday shopaholic.
A good 25 minutes drive north of the US192 travelling up the Interstate 4 past Universal Studios, the main problem you will probably incur is finding a place to park. Although the car park is vast there is just not enough places for the visiting shoppers. If you are lucky enough you could get parked straight away, if not you can be driving around for quite some time watching and waiting for a space to become available.
Once you have managed to park, you will head to the entrance which has a very large, striking glass frontage. To the right hand side is the famous Cheesecake Factory, a very popular restaurant serving some fabulous Cheesecakes for deserts. Check out their website for a mouth watering glimpse.
Once through the main entrance you will enter the open section of the Mall which is a large area where you will find escalators a few shops, plus some sort of feature in the middle, maybe somebody advertising or when we were there at Xmas 2006 a huge Santa’s Grotto.
Heading to your left or right whether on the lower or upper level, you will enter the shopping aisle’s full of fabulous shops, whether designer, electrical or other. The one thing that strikes you about the Millenia Mall is the clean, fresh looking interior along with amazing shop front displays. We have our favourite shops that we seem to visit every time we are over, but like all Malls, shops come and go so you will always find new outlets to explore.
Food is readily available on the upper level at the centre of the Mall with many fast food outlets offering various different types of cuisine for you to re-charge those batteries for a further few hours shopping. Sandwiches, Pizza are just two. But if you fancy a sit down meal then you will need to head towards the exit where you will find a number of diners, all offering amazing food while you rest those weary legs.
The Mall at Millenia is without doubt a shopper’s paradise. Even if you don’t fancy the shopping part, just go to have a look around and experience this unique and stylish Mall.
