Toddlers at Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios is popular with little ones as they get to meet friends from the popular ' Playhouse Disney' Channel. At ' Playhouse Disney Live on Stage' toddlers get to dance and sing along with Bear In The Big Blue House and his friends, plus Rolie Polie Olie, Stanley and friends from the Book of Pooh. There is music and dancing, bubbles and streamers even small babies enjoy this show.
Our girls loved Beauty and the Beast Live, and liked to sing along to their favourite song “Be Our Guest”. This is a 20-minute show which mirrors the film upon which it is based. It tells the story of Belle, a beautiful but bookish girl who lives in a small French town. It is a lovely story with Belle growing to love the Beast with a great fairy tale ending.
At Muppets 3D little ones are entertained from the moment they start to queue all the way through to the show itself. The posters along the queue show the Muppets as ' stars' of some popular movies.
You are invited to go under the sea with Ariel and her friends in the Voyage of the Little Mermaid musical which lasts about 20 minutes. It is great for all ages and you feel like you have front row seats to the shooting of the movie.
There are some fantastic ' Character meets' at Hollywood Studios. The most popular are the Toy Story gang, who appear regularly outside Al' s Toy Barn. You can get a photo with Buzz, Woody and Jessie although you may have to wait as there are usually queues. In the morning in front of the ' big Mickey Hat' you usually see a lot of characters.
No trip to Hollywood Studios is complete without a visit to Honey I Shrunk the Kids. This is not an actual attraction but here the children can make their own fun in the11, 000 square foot play area based on the ' Honey I Shrunk the Kids' movie.
They are surrounded by tall blades of grass, oversized mushrooms, 40 foot tall bumblebees and a huge leaking garden hose and they can explore the root maze tunnels, sit on a giant ant and slide down larger than life film strips, flower petals and tree stumps. There is also a huge ' spider web' for climbing.
While this is a great place for kids to play and just run around for awhile be careful as it is easy to lose sight of toddlers. As a precaution Cast Members are stationed at entrances and exits, to ensure that children leaving the area are accompanied by their parents.
Toddlers will enjoy Hollywood Studios and sleep well after their visit.
