Doesn’t sound like the normal thing to do on a Florida Festive Period Vacation, but 2006 was a great year weather wise with temperatures higher than the normal for this time of year, so getting the bathing costumes out and hitting the Water Slides of Wet N Wild seemed the right thing to do.

We didn’t really know what to expect on our visit, we have passed this water park on many occasions, especially in the summer months when the place looked packed, a place of activity enjoyment & Fun with large snake like queues descending from all the different slides.

But we were in for a surprise as un-like the summer months Wet N Wild was probably 150 visitors strong on our December visit, not one queue in site so no waiting straight on the slides again and again and again. (Shame this wasn’t in July/August)

This place has some awesome slides to keep all ages happy and excited, thrill rides like Mach 5 or you may fancy testing your nerve on The Storm, The Bomb Bay or even Der Stuka a 250 foot near vertical drop, hang on to your swim wear what ever you do.

For more of a family time you may fancy multi rides like The Surge a 5 story water cascading adventure, or you may like the darkness of The Black Whole then there is H2O a water side to music. The rides at Wet N Wild are exciting and exhilarating, a place where one go is not enough.

I would be prepared for so long queues in the summer months as Wet N Wild has to be one if not thee most popular water parks in the Orlando area. Unfortunately many of the water slides don’t have much shade while you are waiting for your go so plenty of suntan cream is a must.

We did eat while here and can’t complain as to what we were served, so don’t worry to much about eating. You will find lots of outlets selling burgers, pizza and salads, lots of different choices to cater for different and varying tastes.

What we would say is that Wet N Wild is the type of water park which would probably attract and be enjoyed by older/teenage children rather than little toddlers as the slides are exciting, long, unpredictable with water splashing everywhere. However there are designated areas for the younger children in this water slide oasis for everybody to enjoy.

A fabulously wet day out.
