Welcome to Sunshine Palms and thank you for taking the time to read this.If you're looking for a family villa to stay which is a little bit special, one which is continuously maintained to a high standard, then look no further and enjoy our beautiful spacious house. We have photos, a slide show and virtual tour for you to view on this website and see the high standard we maintain our home for our guests. We continually add and replace items - some are not shown in our virtual tour. For example, bed linen and towels, a PC, Wi-fi network (we ‘surf’ by the pool when we take our laptop), free 7mb high speed internet and a games area. The house is fully licensed and approved by the State of Florida to sleep up to 10 and we have provided for babies too. Our house has so many complimentary ‘extras’ - many you’ll see in our photos. However, our investment is for you to experience during your wonderful time in Orlando!The front door is 8 miles west of Disney in the exclusive community of Glenbrook…from the Club House you can often hear and see the Magic Kingdom Fireworks and guests have seen the shuttle ‘lift off’ from our front garden. Sunshine Palms is a house that has those extra touches. Enjoy all its privacy, space and facilities designed and maintained to our high standard to enhance your individual stay in Central Florida. If you want to start your stay mid-week and take advantage of lower mid-week air fares just ask and we'll help if we have availability.Just 8 miles from the front door (approx 10 minutes) from Disney, it is close to all the major attractions as well as supermarkets (a new Sweetbay supermarket opening in early 2009 within walking distance), banks, post office, pharmacies. It is situated on Glenbrook, a very small, exclusive community recently completed, which is safe and well maintained. It also has a Clubhouse and Clubhouse manager for Glenbrook guests... and very importantly finding our house is very easy!Our house Sunshine Palms is designed on one floor with 2000 square feet boasting high vaulted ceilings and bright spacious rooms: four excellently equipped bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (two master en-suites), a south facing private pool and spa, complete with upgraded pool furniture and umbrellas, florida glass and a rear 8 feet hedge at the rear for privacy, all to give guests maximum sunshine in a place to relax, chill and enjoy.Arrive at our home with on-site key collection thus avoiding the need to search for an off-site management office. Enter the home, carpeted throughout for comfort and quietness, into our ‘Quiet Lounge’ with two very comfortable settees. Here there are books to quietly read adding to your enjoyment throughout your stay. Then there is the Formal Dining area comfortably seating four. Although the PC (with free high speed internet) is located here, we’ve kept the Quiet Lounge at the front of the home free from noisy TVs/HiFis.Walking through the house you reach the well equipped Kitchen at the heart of the home. All designed to make your vacation easier. There’s everything you’d expect: from a microwave to a dishwasher, a blender to a waste disposal, an ice-maker to an electric kettle and teapot, ample china and so you don’t have to keep returning to the dishwasher, including plastic glasses and tumblers for use outside by the pool. ....Imagine breakfasting on the pool deck in the warm morning sunshine at the start of the day...The Kitchen has a breakfast bar with seating for two – kids love using these. The area opens out into the informal dining area. The table can easily seat 6 adults, but with chairs from the formal dining room and/or breakfast bar, up to 10 (plus a baby) can eat together in this area - great for those special occasions such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. A high chair is provided for very important younger guest too an we have booster seats for dining to help toddlers too. Leading from the eating area is the comfortable Family Room with ample space and seating. Situated here is the 32” cable TV /video/DVD/ Stereo System/Playstation 2/board games/playing cards etc.And remember the telephone to make those free long distant or international calls - quicker than sending a postcard!The first Master Bedroom En-suite is tastefully designed, with a US queen size bed, overlooking the gleaming pool through patio doors. With a walk-in wardrobe (ideal for storing suitcases) and a large dresser there is a 19" TV with cable and VCR, clock radio and telephone. The en-suite has two sinks (his and hers), dressing lights, large bath tub, walk-in shower and a hair dryer to your make your life easier. There is also access from the bathroom to the pool area. The second elegant Master Bedroom en-suite has a US king size bed, walk-in wardrobe (again useful for storing suitcases) and again 19" TV cable/VCR and a clock radio. This en-suite has a large corner bath tub, walk-in shower and dressing lights as well as a hair dryer for convenience.The 3rd and 4th Bedrooms are both twins, again tastefully designed to suit all ages, from young children through to adults, with cable TV/DVDs/electric digital clocks. The third Family Bathroom has a large walk-in shower, dressing lights and again, a hair dryer provided for your use.A baby cot/crib is provided for our young visitors and there is room for this any of our bedrooms. (More cots/cribs can be hired if required).We also have a toddler safety bed rails which can be used on any of the single beds, 2 booster seats for toddlers, strollers and a baby monitor. We provide all bed linen, bathroom and pool towels. The Laundry Room is air conditioned and has a separate washer, dryer as well as an iron and ironing board. This room also has a door into the double garage and this room has an electrically operated external door for your easy use.Here in the garage you will find our games area added for your pleasure and fun: table tennis, foosball and electronic darts. In addition the Glenbrook Club House, just two minutes walk away or a very short drive, has a gym room, a DVD/PS2 games library for guests (DVDs can can be watched in the media room with a large TV/movie system or in our house), additional PC/high speed broadband internet and wireless hotspot connectivity, a pool table and air hockey table. Alongside the club house is an additional communal pool, tennis and volley ball courts. Great ways to spend some time playing a friendly set or two, or working off those excess pounds in the gym room! And all free to our guests. Also check out the Glenbrook Clubhouse events that may run during your stay.If these games sound too energetic, why not sit back on our south facing pool deck and enjoy the view of the garden or watch your children playing in the pool? Florida glass adds privacy with an 8ft rear hedge. If you bring your own laptop you may be able to ‘surf’ using our wireless network by the pool! Our south facing pool and spa (which can be heated and has a pool cover to keep it warm in the cooler months) is filtered and kept clean by professionals. The pool furniture is plentiful and has been upgraded to give comfort and enjoyment: padded sun beds, chairs, stools, two umbrellas, towel drier. Florida glass around the screen adds to your privacy … A safety screen in front of the pool/spa is provided for your use to protect babies, children and non-swimmers (safety screen alternative to pool alarms opened). The safety screen may be taken down at your discretion, if not required. The home security system also lets you know when an external door has been opened… useful if you’ve young guests in the house. A BBQ Grill is provided for ‘al fresco’ meals.Outside lighting by the lanai covered pool gives you privacy to enjoy warm evenings. We supply a BBQ grill for 'al fresco' dining. The gardens, maintained by our gardeners, cut the grass regularly, and maintain our palm trees to ensure our garden and all those on Glenbrook look attractive throughout the year. Our home has been chosen to give a comfortable, yet luxurious feel for a special vacation in Central Florida - your own private retreat after a busy day. We understand that by providing well presented surroundings and facilities we are encouraging a great vacation made easier with little touches. Looking after you whilst at our house we have a local management company whom we trust and have been with for many years to look after you and our house whilst you enjoy your stay.
