Quite often we are all guilty of being on vacation and rushing around cramming as much as possible into our action packed days and having a jolly good time in the process but most families do have the odd day off from the theme parks and shopping and like a little time to relax and rejuvenate. Well it is normally lazing by the swimming pool or in the villa chilling out but here is one for the ladies in the holiday party to think about. (The men can even tag along and find some relaxation too)!
A day trip to one of Orlando’s many Spas will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to tackle anything even that super scary roller coaster you have been avoiding!
There are many Spas located all over Orlando and a quick look on the internet )or local yellow pages) will produce the nearest one to your villa location and give you lots of information about what is on offer, prices, location and opening hours etcetera etcetera..
The spa I use is at Champions Gate and is called a European Spa and is basically a Spa as we know it in the UK. It offers dozens and dozens of services to leave you feeling rejuvenated. Prices are generally the same as UK but if you use one of the plusher corporate type Spas it will cost more. You can also go with a friend or partner and have dual treatments for example a massage on tables which are next to each other and chat or just chill out together whilst receiving the treatments.
There is also a very nice day Spa on the US27 and they offer facials, massages, pedicures, manicures and a whole host of other feel good treatments.
When you leave the SPA it is customary to leave the normal 15% - 20% as a tip for the therapist who has carried out your treatments.
Most Spas offer for sale the products the therapists have used in your treatment and a whole lot more to part you from your dollars and you will be tempted as there are some lovely lotions and potions to buy!
Some of the bigger day Spas allow you to use some of the other facilities such as swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, gym etc so you can really have some me time and pamper yourself all the way!
