If you want to see specific characters within a given time frame check the Park Times Guides because these include character greeting times and locations. These Guides are provided at each of the 4 main parks (Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
Another place to check is at Guest Relations at the parks, they are very helpful. They have numbers they can contact to see where everyone will be making appearances. If your child really must see Tigger they will know where to locate him and at what time.
City Hall at the Magic Kingdom will also give you this information.
You can also check the Character Location Guide. The Magic Kingdom has these at every character location, the main tip board on Main Street, and at a lot of merchandise locations as well. This guide will tell you what *sort* of characters to expect at each location and at what time. However this will say something like “Jungle Book” rather than naming specific characters.
Of course if you have loads of time you can wander around the Parks and you will still come across them at various places. The problem with this is by the time you find them the lines can be quite long.
As the Park opens characters can usually be found at the entrance to Animal Kingdom. Then if you head to Camp Minnie-Mickey you will find this one of the best and least crowded place to meet characters. Nearly everyone seems to head for Expedition Everest or the Kilimanjaro Safari at this time of day. We spent a magical 15 minutes at Camp Minnie- Mickey when the girls were young sheltering from a torrential downpour with Mickey!
You will find a variety of characters throughout World Showcase. Aladdin can be seen in Morocco, Snow White in Germany, Pooh in the United Kingdom to name just the few we have seen regularly.
There is also the " Character Connection" meet and greet across from Innoventions West.
Don’t forget if you are wandering round and have forgotten to check earlier Guides you can always ask a Cast Member. They have a phone number to call if you want to know where a specific character will be.
Try always to get to the line 5 minutes before the Character is due to arrive. Be prepared, have your autograph books open and if possible try to get thicker pens as these are much easier for the Characters to write with. Make sure you have your name and address in you book in case you lose it.
Characters are also willing to sign clothing but not if you are wearing it! Hats are a good idea for this but make sure you have the correct pen that will show up on the material.
Grown-ups need to be sure they have their cameras and camcorders ready as although photos can be taken the lines can be long and the Characters try to ensure they meet everyone.
Be sure to listen to the greeter. When they say Minnie is going to be right back after she powders her nose, that means just that.
Similarly when they say Mickey will be going in 5 minutes they also mean it.
Meeting the Characters can make a magical day even more magical.
