A day out in Daytona Beach.
Daytona Beach is about an hour and a half from your holiday villa and so makes a good choice for a day at the seaside.
Apart from lolling around the beach (doesn' t float my boat for long) what else can you do? Well, I have put together a few ideas for you; gotta be something here you would love!
ANGELL and PHELPS CHOCOLATE FACTORY: who doesn' t like chocolate? who doesn' t like hand made chocolate? Well here you can take a half hour guided tour which takes you right through the process.
These tours take place every week day on the hour from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Angell and Phillips is in Beach Street.
DAYTONA SEGS ON THE BEACH: this is of course segway tours of the beach. This business is housed in the Cruisin Cafe. This is easy to do once you get the hang of it and such fun.
HAUNTS OF THE WORLDS MOST FAMOUS BEACH GHOST TOURS: well it sure gets the prize for the longest business title! ! This is a spooky guided tour of Daytona with a bit of myth and history thrown in and it starts at 7 p. m. every night. Call 386 2536034 to book your place and find your starting place.
DUCER CRUZER BIKE SK8: this company hires out bikes and bike strollers. Ask them about the 20 mile scenic route that is known informally as ' The Loop' This takes you past Tomoko State Park (another great place to visit) and also under a canopy of old oak trees.

BELLAIR LANES and ENTERTAINEMENT CENTER: has 32 lanes for bowling. Best time to visit is on a friday or saturday night when they have a cosmic bowling evening. This blends the bowling with an interactive programme and a light show.
DAYTONA SLINGSHOT: not my cup of tea but fun to watch and thrill seekers will love it! This ride flings you 400 feet in the air at 100 miles an hour. This ride is open every day of the week.

MAIN STREET PIER FISHING: you can hire all your tackle and bait here and while away a happy few hours trying to catch your supper. Also on the pier are a couple of rides and a restaurant.
