Carrabbas Italian Grill
This is one of quite a large chain although you would never know it because from the time you walk through the door, the ambience, service and happy feel of the place makes you think it must be a one off. The location of the one that we tried was W.Irlo Bronson Highway 192 west located next to Formosa Gardens shopping center.
You will always find this restaurant extremely busy and may even be tempted to walk away...DON'T...instead reserve your table and accept a disc which they will give you which will have flashing lights.....go then and take a seat if not inside then out and have a nice glass of Chianti or whatever you favourite tipple may be. Just keep one eye on that disc and as soon as it start's to flash rapidly then your table will be ready. We found that the wait time they give you ,then you can usually half it.
You have a choice when booking in of either a table...a booth...or you may want to sit up the bar area in the restaurant in front of the kitchen area...it is an open kitchen so all the food gets cooked right before your eyes, this is a nice touch.
Your waiter or waitress will introduce you to the menu and bring you fresh bread with an amazing dish of oregano and other spices mixed with olive oil to use as a dip (very delicious).
The menu is varied and the specials change daily, whatever you choose may be served with either fresh vegetables of the day, salad or pasta. I can recommend the filet steak seasoned and served with garlic mash (one of the nicest steaks I have ever tried), also the pollo rosa maria which is fire-roasted chicken breast stuffed with fontina cheese and prosciutto and marsala wine sauce....but whatever you choose I don't think you will disappointed.
The deserts are just as delicious and I recommend the tiramisu. It's just to die for and then that's if you still have room they do wonderful liquor coffee's.
There is also an extensive wine list to choose from.
Families are also made very welcome and children catered for, they offer a children's menu with a drink included and they also offer a carryout service.
