THURSDAY 04 OCT DAY 9
We just pottered around the villa today as we were planning on going out in the evening to Universals Halloween Horror Night event.
Probably also spent half the day on the phone as norm and just chilling oit by the pool etc! We then left the villa around 4 pm and drove over to Universal Studios for the Halloween Horror Nights. We decided to go straight to the HRC for dinner and got a booth straight away as I bought an all access pass years ago when I was in San Diego and it has been good ever since! If you use the HRC it is worth the initial outlay.
We then had a light dinner as we both had salads as they are big and tasty in the HRC. I washed mine down with a yummy cocktail but hubby was driving so he was on the Coca Cola! We resisted dessert and left just before 6 pm to go over to Universal and the Halloween Horror night.
I had booked the tickets weeks ago as a surprise but was not sure if hubby would like it. I was worried it would be too intense for me as I am not a fan of Freddie, Jason or Michaels movies and I would not sleep for weeks after it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the event and it was no where near as bad or scary as I had imagined. We left the park at midnight after doing all the Haunted Houses and shows bar Rocky Horror, we even managed to ride MIB twice plus Jimmy Neutron and also sneaked in some Nathans chili cheesy fries as the salad had worn off by then!
I also had another couple of yummy cocktails but it was so hot even after 10 pm so I soon switched to water and diet coke plus I didn’t really want to drink when hubby could not but he was not fussed in the slightest, bless him!
I won’t tell you anything more about the actual HHN goings on here as it may spoil it for anyone planning to go in the next few weeks but I will be doing various articles in the upcoming weeks about all our outings in detail including HHN so keep an eye on the guides and that way you won't read anything to don't want to see and have it spoiled.
