Disney Springs Orlando
Having visited the new Disney Springs in July 2016 mid afternoon, I was put off by the oppressive heat and humidity , it was no fun walking about in temps in the high 90s.
However in late Nov 16 and early Jan 2017 I revisited but this time in early evening and found Disney Springs a lot more attractive and enjoyable
In the evening the temps are a lot cooler and makes walking about more enjoyable, not dripping in sweat as in the afternoon.
I enjoyed Disney Springs , it has a buzz about the place and all of us agreed we would most definitely visit again , we came away each night very happy.
At night with all the lighting on the buildings it feels magical , So many shops to meander through (a lot of the shops have no connection to Disney ) you can people watch as thousands of people enjoy their evenings . Lots of places to eat , from the cheap and cheerful to the expensive , a place for everyone taste.
There a couple of shows you can attend at cost , There is long running Cirque du Soleil ' La Nouba' and The Blues Brothers , both of which had long queues waiting to gain entrance so it appears both are very popular.
You will see boats on the lake , please do take a ride , some will only take you from one end of the lake to the other but some boats will take you on a 30 min journey to the big Disney Hotels and you can get off and go and explore these hotels.
If you like you can spend time at Disney Springs and spend not a single GBP / $ , just walking around looking at the shops etc , its a fun place even just doing that.
I feel that Disney Springs is a far superior attraction to the old Disney Boardwalk , which even though it was still popular, it had become a bit tired and needed some TLC: > )
From various advantage points you can see the firework displays at surrounding Disney Parks.
The new attraction at Disney Springs ( twice nightly ) is 200 drones which are configured electronically into various shapes in the night sky ( At Christmas you had Christmas Trees , Stars adorning the night sky . ) I hear the drones will be increased to 1, 000 to make the display even more impressive and spectacular.
The shops are open to 2. 00am in the morning : > )
