Enjoying Celebration Part 1
Although our villa is only a few miles from Celebration it was several years before we went there as there always seemed to be so much more Disney and other Park visits to do. This we realised in hindsight was a mistake as Celebration town is a great place to go as it has so much to offer. It is a Disney town with beautiful homes some with front porches and it is a really good place to go at Christmas and Easter as the whole town joins in celebrating the festivities.
When you go to Celebration be sure to park in the correct areas because traffic violations are quickly spotted and fined! We usually try to park in some of the allotted bays near to the clock tower at the head of Market Street. At the back of this you will see some of the popular town centre apartments.
At the top corner of Market Street you will see the Thani Thai restaurant which has only been open a few years, the food is very good and there is plenty of outdoor dining as well as an air conditioned interior. In one window you will see a very impressive sculpture and in another there is a sign advertising that Kids Eat Free on Tuesday.
Further along the street there is a good Jewellery store with some beautiful pieces. If you want a souvenir of your visit to Celebration there are plenty of “Celebration Tee Shirts” to choose from.
We usually leave my Father to rest on one of the benches on Market Street while we go and browse in two of our favourite shops the Market Street Gallery and Boutique.
On the right hand side you will come to the Imperium which is wine bar that also sells food, like many places in Celebration you can sit inside or on the side walk people watching while you drink and/or eat.
For those who fancy a Pizza there are very good ones served at the Upper Crust which is next door to the Imperium and again you can enjoy these
On the corner there is Market Street Café which serves a great selection of food from early breakfast until late dinner in the evening. There is much to choose from they are famous for their breakfasts and there vast menu includes burgers and salads as well as home-made cakes and pies. Their outdoor dining section is kept cool with several ceiling fans.
There are a lot of covered outdoor dining options in this area and on Thursdays Kids can Eat Free when you buy an adult entrée.
Another nice family restaurant is Celebration Town Tavern where again you can enjoy your food inside or sitting out at the front of the restaurant.
On the next corner to the Tavern is a shop called Confetti which specialises in personalised jewellery and gifts this is well worth a browse we have bought several gifts from here. If you fancy a coffee you will find Starbucks opposite Confetti.
