The Food Court At Florida Mall
Normally I steer well clear from these kind of places and kind of consider them to be fast unhealthy rubbish eateries and never venture near them, heading instead for a more upmarket sit down relaxing restaurant with waiter service, but today we were kind of rushed and had places to go but you still need to eat and so we decided to give the food court a whirl inside Florida Mall. My husband had tried it 4 years ago and still remembers that it was good.
I must say I was more than a little surprised , firstly at the choice on offer, such a wide variety and not only that, each eateries had hot samples on offer so you got to have a taster to tempt you before you had to make your choice. Although you couldn’t risk tasting too many as your appetite would soon disappear.
There are several eateries on offer and these include the likes of Starbucks which not only serves fabulous coffees but also a wide variety of pastries , Charleys steakery which serves Delicious hot sandwiches prepared to order in front of you, Chick-fil-a Serving sandwiches, cool wraps, and of course tender chicken along with waffle potato fries, Crepe Market self explanatory, Manchu Wok freshly cooked Chinese wok food, Subway serving cold and hot subs, deli style sandwiches, wraps and salads also freshly made , Taco Bell serving a variety of taco‘s nachos, burritos, wraps and chalupas, Chao Cajun, Asian Chao, Gotcha Smokehouse Bar-b-que.
We did walk around and sample a few tasters which I must admit were all really good but eventually decided on Chao Cajun and their speciality is Bourbon Chicken which was the choice I went for along with Fried Cajun rice and fried plantain (healthy I knowJ but I must say it was totally Moorish and so tasty, the bourbon chicken was wonderfully seasoned and very tender and the plantain was just divine, something I had not eaten cooked this way before but will definatly have a go at frying it at home. Overall we really enjoyed it, in fact it was one of the tastiest meals we have eaten and at two meals for under $15 it’s amazing value and we will certainly eat here again on our next visit to the Florida Mall and would recommend you give it a whirl too on your next visit.
