Great Reasons to Visit Disney World Orlando
Nobody on earth does entertainment quite as well as Disney. They take a touch of pixiedust and sprinkle it over everyday adventures to create special occasions and memories that last a lifetime. Disney is always reinventing itself and introducing new attractions and rides, so no matter how many times you visit you will always find something new. Firework Shows
Like everything else in Disney, the firework shows are as good as they get and cost a reported $10, 000 a day to produce. The Magic Kingdom is home to the Wishes Firework show, which is narrated by Jiminy Cricket and tells the tale of making wishes come true accompanied by classic Disney songs. The choreographed fireworks are spectacular and be sure to look out for Tinkerbell making her way high in the sky past Cinderella’ s Castle.
Epcot is host to a spectacular laser, music and fireworks show held at Showcase Lagoon every night. 67 computers in over 40 locations throughout the park create the special effects of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, with over 1100 pyrotechnic bursts and lasers that create a fantasy art show in the sky. Downtown Disney
This shopping and entertainment complex offers a great variety of shopping, dining and entertainment options. Shop till you drop in the fabulous Disney stores, enjoy a gigantic ice cream sundae at the famous Ghiradelli store, let the kids runs wild in the Lego store, sample one of the excellent restaurants or just stroll around and soak up the atmosphere. Great for day or night for all ages. Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex
An ideal place for the sport minded in your group. Home to the Atlanta Braves baseball team, their winter training schedule attracts some of the best franchises in baseball including the Yankees and Red Sox.
Check out the event calendar to see what’ s on during your visit. It could be Disney’ s Soccer Showcase Series presented by Chelsea Football Club or the annual Walt Disney World Marathon. There’ s something here for all sports enthusiasts. Disney’s Waterparks
The perfect way to cool off in that hot and glorious all year round Florida sunshine. As with everything else, Disney has taken no short cuts in the development of their waterparks and who else could get away with a ski resort in a hot tropical climate? Blizzard Beach is the coolest of waterparks with 66 acres of ’ snow’ and is home to exhilarating toboggan runs, snow capped mountains, a ski lift up Mount Gushmore and watersides of slush.
Typhoon Lagoon is the exact opposite with exotic tropical landscapes and shipwrecks left behind after the legendary storm that created this 56 acre oasis. Typhoon Lagoon is home to one of the world’ s largest wave pools with waves as big as six feet. Twist and turn down any of the 8 waterslides from the top of Mount May Day, relax on the white sandy beach or laze along Castaway Creek as it gently floats you around the park on a 2000 foot journey. On the tip of the Mount May Day is Miss Tilly, an old shrimp boat that erupts with a 50 foot flume of gushing water every half hour. The Crush n Gusher is Disney’ s first water coaster. Disney Dining
Dining Disney style can be an exquisite adventure into dining delights or a quick delve into fast food fanfare. There are restaurants, styles and experiences to suit every possible cuisine preference and, with plenty of restaurants to choose from, Disney offers some of the best restaurants in Florida.
That’ s where the dilemma comes in. How do you choose from so many? There are plenty of fine restaurants located in the Disney Resorts and some great opportunities to dine with Disney characters along the way. With eateries ranging from a beautiful dining experience at Cinderella’ s Royal Table to a culinary delight at Victoria & Albert’s, the only restaurant in Central Florida with an AAA Five-Diamond award, there’ s something here to suite every palette.
Disney World truly does offer something for everyone no matter how many times you come back.
