High Grove – A Great Place to Stay
High Grove is a new (completed late 2005) top class resort development of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes situated in one of the most convenient locations in the Disney area. I must point out that I am biased as this is where I decided to buy my home when High Grove was just a building site back in November 2003. The features that attracted us to the development are the same features that now make High Grove such a great place to stay on your vacation.
The homes on High Grove have a true Mediterranean feel with whitewashed walls and real tile roofs that were until recently something of a rarity in the Orlando area. The builders made a special effort to create a development that provided enough space around the homes so that everyone could relax and enjoy themselves without feeling as though they were living on top of one another. As you approach the gated entrance it is obvious due to the palm trees and lush planting that High Grove is the perfect location for your hard earned break. High Grove is perfectly situated at the junction of H192 and H27 making it so easy to get to all the theme parks or to venture further a field to the Gulf or the space coasts and with a 24hour Wal Mart just a few hundred yards away who could want for more.
The first thing you see as you drive through the gates is the beautiful clubhouse, the focal point of our community. The clubhouse opens from 7am to 8pm every day (except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Years Day) and provides an ideal spot to plan the day’s events especially if you are holidaying with friends who are staying in another home. The staff are all very friendly and will provide advice on the surrounding area as well as pointing you in the direction of the free tea and coffee that is available throughout the day. You will find a large selection of leaflets giving details of all the local attractions and contact details for the local shuttle bus service that is available if you prefer not to drive to the theme parks. Outside there is a large community pool and a heated spa with a south west facing pool deck, inside you will find locker rooms and showers complete with a good supply of towels. Other facilities on offer are a TV room with comfortable sofas as well as a selection of board games and books. There is a small gym with a running machine, exercise bike and a cross trainer so that you have no excuse for not keeping in trim. There is also a computer room with 2 computers that have free internet access (a printer and a fax machine are available at reception for a small charge) and the whole of the clubhouse has wireless internet access so that you can use your own laptop if you prefer. There is a pool table and a foosball table available for guests to use. Events are organised throughout the year for homeowners and guests alike to add that little bit extra to your vacation and I believe the recent visit by Santa was a great success.
All the homes in the community have their own private pools and many also have spas, games rooms and internet access. The homes are all furnished to a very high standard with lots of owners adding those little touches that really make you feel at home. Whichever one you choose for your holiday I am sure that you will have a great time and be eager to return.
