If you fancy a pitcher of beer or sangria and do not want to wait ages for your food, then Hooters is worth a visit. There are a few dotted around Orlando and you can’t mistake them as the logo is in Orange – there’s is a nice one at Lake Buena Vista and one at Pointe Orlando.
The menu has something for everyone in the way of bar snacks like sandwiches, hamburgers, seafood and their famous chicken wings. The whole family always enjoy visiting here and it is a good place to eat when you don’t want to wait too long for food (you know the feeling, you have been to the parks, you are tired and starving and don’t want to go out for a full evening meal).
We always have soup as a starter here as they are really nice and the New England Style Clam Chowder is delicious. Mom and Dad highly recommend the Baked Potato Soup. The girls always choose the Nachos covered in cheese although you can also add chicken or beef to this dish.
Then of course, you have to have some chicken wings, they come in 10pcs, 20pcs or 50pcs servings and you can say how “hot” you want them but as we have the girls with us, we have ours mild (well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!) I also recommend the buffalo shrimp – again these come in 10pcs or 20pcs.
Whenever we visit there seems to be a lot of locals here simply “having a beer” and watching the game. We have been there and some locals were celebrating and they ordered the wings and Dom Perignon (a few bottles!) combo, very happy by 11pm!
If we have main courses the fish and chips are lovely and the girls love the curly fries. I think Dad has tried every seafood option the menu including the snow crabs legs (how salty are they!), steamed clams and New Orleans shrimp.
There are the usual salads available and I can recommend the Caesar salad with grilled chicken or the steak. Cody always has a hot dog with the curly fries and my niece enjoys the Ham and Cheese Sandwich.
The girls love the deserts here too – Caramel Fudge Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie (for Dad) and Chocolate Mousse Cake.
We have bought some gifts here; the Hooters calendar was well received by my brother! They do T-Shirts here too but don’t think I would look as good as the waitresses do in them!!
Worth a visit to try the gorgeous chicken wings!
