Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party 2007
December 21st was the night I had chosen to book to go to The Magic Kingsom and see Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party. We had never been to this special Christmas event before and had heard friends rave about it in past years, so I decided to give it a whirl this year and see what we were missing.
The event does sell out quickly so back in
July I decided to go ahead and book the tickets as we had a month's vacation planned over the festive holidays.
The night finally arrived and it was pleasantly mild and not cold at all, so off we went Xmas hats in hand to get into the spirit of things. We arrived 10 minutes or so after leaving the house and got parked up no problem at all, we then choose to take the boat over to the Magic Kingdom, you can also go over my mono rail. The castle was beautifully lit up with thousands of fairy lights. It really set the scene for the evening and was even more lovely close up when we arrived into the Magic Kingdom.
The 21st December was the last night of the event so we expected it to be maniac but it really wasn't and there were little or no queues for the rides.
We decided to have something to eat first and visited Tomorowland and had a bite to eat. We then spent the next couple of hours wandering around and visiting the various shows that were available.
We had plenty of hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies which were included in the entrance price and you could eat and drink as many as you wanted. There was also apple juice and packets of fresh apple slices if you fancied something different.
There were two main parades and we choose to watch the second one at 10:30pm. It was magical and I won't go into it too much as it might spoil the surprise for you but it lasted well over an hour and there was still a couple of hours left after the parade before the park closed. (The event ran that evening from 7 pm til 1 am)
So if you have not been before pop along next time you are in Floirda over the Xmas holiday season (The event runs from late November and finishes the weekend before Christmas normally).
