Pauls Florida diary Day 3 Afternoon into the evening
On the way back to the villa we all decide were a little hungry and so decided to check out the Ihop on the way back for a little late lunch having and never been to an Ihop before we weren’t quite sure what to expect
We were seated instantly that the great thing about lunch time eating no ones in the restaurants so no waiting around to be seated. Soon we had all chosen a variety of food from pancakes to French toast, when it arrived it looked great lots of fruit and sweet stuff definitely one for the sweet tooth
Soon we were back at the villa and time to take a dip in the pool, stopping at a villa with its own private pool is definitely the best way to enjoy a trip to Florida no sharing the pool with noisy hotel guests just you and your pool and if you renting an upscale villa the hot spa is a godsend when your feet are sore and tired after pounding the concrete in the parks and shops
A few cold beers in the hot spa as the sun began to cool down and sun started to set we discussed where should we eat that evening and as Karlie had never really been to downtown Disney and both her and Will had either Fulton’s crab house or Planet Hollywood on the “to do” list we decided to visit Downtown Disney area
Due to road works we parked close to the house of blues and had a leisurely stroll through the restaurant and bar area of downtown Disney. A lot of building and remodelling work was going on at the time and when it’s finished it will be a great area for evening entertainment
After checking out the Fulton’s crab house menu the dinner menu was rather grand, we decided that maybe planet Hollywood might be a better choice and more reasonably priced so were turned around and made our way there
The wait time was short and in truth it wasn’t that busy and so we were seated within about 20 minutes we all order our food pretty quickly but despite it not being very busy inside the food took quite a long time to come which was a bit disappointing, but the food was good quality and tasted great and lets face its planet holly wood is one of those place you just have to visit and plenty to look at while you wait.
Time to round off our evening with a trip around the Disney shops in Downtown and the purchase of an exclusive Pandora charm was made by Karlie before we headed off for home. Shirley was looking, and I think she has plans for my wallet when we visit the Disney parks! She does have a thing about Charms.
