Pauls Florida Diary Day 5 part1
Well it had been a few days since we had done any of the parks and so thought I was about time we hit Universal Studios once again so this time we decided to visit the islands of adventure but more importantly we were going to make our first visit to Hogsmeade in Harry Potter land
We were soon parked up in the multi story car park and walking through city walk and before we knew it through the gates of Islands of adventure, Will and Karlie had decided that they wanted to go on the hulk first as its there favourite ride out of all the roller coasters
So they got in the line for the Hulk and we had a little walk in the marvel shops and decided to go for an ice cream as it was already pretty hot! Around 30 minutes later Will and Karlie appeared with a huge smile on there faces proclaiming that the hulk is still the best rollercoaster out of all in Disney and Universal studios
We walked through the Marvel superhero area of islands of adventure intending to visit the Spiderman ride but the line was pretty large with at least 45mins to wait and so we decided to walk further on and started our way through toon lagoon just as it started to rain a little, So we took time to shelter from the rain in some of the shops around toon lagoon its wasn’t too long before it stopped and we set off through Jurassic park, Karlie had a quick look at the thunder Falls from the viewing terrace but decided to give it a miss and head directly over to the Harry Potter area
We soon arrived at the Harry Potter and the forbidden Journey ride and presently joined the que which wasn’t too bad at around 45 minutes, this is a very very popular ride and the whole Harry potter area in both parks are very busy in general
The ride itself is very good but you do get thrown around quite a bit as you fly around the corridors and the roofs of the Hogwarts castle, you really get thrown around on this ride so make sure that are ready for it, but its an amazing ride and one not to be missed
Afterward we spent quite lot of time in the Harry Potter area and visited all the shops including the famous Olivanders wand shop a quick trip to the Dragon Challenge or as I still remember it pre Harry Potter Days the “duelling dragons”
