Pirate Ship and Wave Runner at Madeira Beach
Madeira Beach is about an hour and a half from your Theme Park area vacation villa and there are 2 fun activities to do here.
The pirate ship sails from Madeira Beach on the Gulf Coast side of Florida. This is a fun family outing in a recreated pirate ship.
These boat tours last 2 hours and include face painting, treasure hunts, water gun battles (really refreshing on a hot day) and quizzes.
And that is not all; included in the price is a pirate themed dance party where you can bop your hearts out.
To help you get in the mood there is free beer aboard and also soft drinks for the younger ones.
You start your journey at St John' s Pass and cruise through Treasure Island and Boca Ciega Bay. Dolphins abound here so you are likely to spot one or more of these delightful creatures.
The hours of sailing at the moment are 11. a. m and 2. p. m. There is also a sunset cruise which obviously changes time with the seasons.
These timings apply to every day of the week except sundays when the pirates take a well earned rest. You must arrive at least 2 hours before the sail time. I would recommend taking the morning cruise if possible when it is less hot and not so likely to rain.
The cost is $33 per adult and $23 per child. O. A. P. s are charged $28 and under 2s come in at $8. If you visit their website and print off the coupon you save $3 per head.

While you are at St John' s Pass there is another water based activity for you to enjoy.
At John' s Pass Waverunners you can hire one of these vehicles and take off to explore the natural beauty of this area.
They have vehicles suitable for 1, 2, 3 or 4 people and hire includes life jacket, gas, parking and orientation from one of the staff.
This outlet is right next door to the Pirate Ship adventure and when you see the chequered flag you know you are there. Under 14s cannot rent the waverunners.
For the rest of the day there is no contest as to what to do; just find one of the lovely beaches and enjoy the wonderful ocean or just sun bathe on the sands.
