Florida Guide > Disney General
This is the ultimate treat for all little girls with dreams of being a princess even if it is only for a day.
We took our granddaughters aged 6 and 8 years old . the age limit is aged 3 and over I understand.
We did pre book but I do think it is possible to walk in and wait in turn.
On arrival they were given an invitation with their name on and it had various hair styles to choose from They we were then asked if they would also like to choose their princess outfits
Once the outfits were chosen they were taken over to meet the girl that was about to transform them into a princess with make up ect .
they did actually have make up done ever so lightly but tasteful for a little princess and the elder girl had false nails on but the little one had such small nails it was imposable to fix the nails so the girl doing the make up made a big fuss of her beautiful blue eyes so that pleased her, they were then taken away to the dressing room, where they put on their chosen princess outfits. When that was done they returned to the beauty salon to have the hair and final touches done.
They then had their crowns on and were finally ready or so they thought but at the last minute and with much ceremony fairy dust was sprinkled on, making the transformation complete.
Then in a style only Disney does best the chair was turned around and the girls saw themselves in the mirror, I can tell you it brought a tear to the eyes off all our party when we saw them.
We did have a package called the castle package and this included full makeover dress and accessories plus photos. They actually took lots and it was hard to decide which to choose. We did actually take our own cameras as well and were asked if we wanted to take our own photos also .
The Staff in the salon were wonderful to all the children and we thought that they tried to make each child special
After we left the salon we went to magic Kingdom and as we walked around some of the staff made a great fuss and asked for the children’s autograph it certainly was one of the highlights for my grandchildren’s holiday and while it was not cheap (there was cheaper options) we thought it was worth every penny. The shop is situated in the world of Disney at downtown Disney it is in a corner but you will not miss it.
