Ride Restrictions for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure – updated October 2010
Every ride and attraction within these two theme parks has a sign at the entrance that lists the height requirements for the ride and also warnings about certain medical conditions
Children under 48' (1. 22 meters) must be accompanied by an adult at all times and on all attractions.
Many attractions use safety restraints that some guests may find uncomfortable or that may occasionally prevent an individual from experiencing the attraction. Some attractions have test seats available so that guests can determine comfort and fit for themselves before riding. The list of rides below indicate which attractions have test seats available.
All shows accommodate guests with disabilities. The outdoor-stage shows have reserved areas clearly marked by signs displaying the International Symbol of Accessibility.
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS®
Revenge Of The MummySM- Must be at least 48' . – Test seats are available
Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast™- Must be at least 40”. Persons under 40” must experience this attraction from an adjacent stationary location.
The Simpsons Ride - Must be at least 40”
MEN IN BLACK™ Alien Attack™ - Must be at least 42” ;
Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster® - Must be at least 36”
Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket – Must be at least 51” – Test seats are available
E. T. Adventure – Must be at least 34”
UNIVERSAL’S ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE®
Jurassic Park River Adventure® - Must be at least 42” ;
Pteranodon Flyers® - Must be at least 36” ; 36” to 56” must be accompanied by an adult. Guests over 56” must be accompanied by a guest meeting this requirement.
Dragons Challenge - Must be at least 54”. Test seats are available
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish™ - Under 48” must be accompanied by an adult.
Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls® - Must be at least 44” ; 44” to 48” must be accompanied by an adult. Test seats are available
Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges® - Must be at least 42” ; 42” to 48” must be accompanied by an adult.
Incredible Hulk Coaster® - Must be at least 54”. Test seats are available
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man® - Must be at least 40” ; 40” to 48” must be accompanied by an adult.
Doctor Doom’s Fearfall® - Must be at least 52”.
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey – Must be 48” Test seats are available
Flight of the Hippogriff – Must be 36’
The High In The Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride – Must be 34”
