Shopping at Hollywood Studios
Whenever we visit a Theme Park we always seem to return to the villa with someone lamenting “I forgot to go to such a shop”. Therefore I thought I would try to detail the shops I am aware of after our many visits to Hollywood Studios.
When you arrive at the Main entrance directly in front of the turnstiles there is a shop aptly named “Crossroads of the World”. Here can be found small souvenirs such as autograph books, pens and pencils, etc as well as film and disposable cameras.
By the Locker rentals there is Oscars Classic Car Souvenirs which is a small souvenir shop featuring NASCAR items.
A great place to shop and browse is Sid Cahuenga’s One of a Kind which has authentic collectible movie memorabilia. Here you will find plenty of autographs and one of a kind collectibles from a wide variety of celebrities
On Hollywood Boulevard there are Celebrity 5 & 10 selling standard souvenirs and Disney Studios merchandise.
At Cover Story you can get your picture on the cover of a magazine, while at The Darkroom there are camera sales, developing, film and supplies.
If you want personalized character merchandise go to Edith & Adrian' s Head to Toe. Onto Keystone Clothiers for upscale clothing for men and women, children’s clothing can be bought at L. A. Prop Cinema Storage.
Character merchandise and various souvenirs can be found at Mickey' s of Hollywood and be sure not to miss the Sorcerer’s Hat Shop.
On Sunset Boulevard you will find lots of interesting merchandise, especially if you like Disney villains at The Beverly Sunset. They also have a good selection of Fantasmic! Merchandise. These kind of items can also be found at Villians in Vogue.
If you are shopping for your home there are plenty of Disney-themed items at Carthay Circle Theater. Household items as well as Disney Clothing can also be found at Mouse about Town.
My Father bought a lovely watch at one of the shops on Sunset Boulevard that also sold jewelry unfortunately I cannot remember its name!
If you want items with the Planet Hollywood logo go to Planet Hollywood Super Store where there are Rock n Roller Coaster and Aerosmith mementos. ' The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror' gifts can be purchased at Tower Hotel Gifts.
Onto Animation Courtyard where there is Disney Studios Store. This store features items and souvenirs from just current Disney animated release films so the theme changes quite frequently.
More children' s costumes and accessories can be purchased at In Character.
At Echo Lake the Star Tours attraction leads out into Tatooine Traders which sells a wide variety of Star Wars merchandise.
Also at this part of the Park you will find Golden Age Souvenirs where selected character souvenirs are sold.
Items themed to Indiana Jones (hats, t-shirts, etc) can be bought at the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost.
Over at Pixar Place there is a Toy Story Midway Mania Shop. As well as gifts from the Toy Story Mania attraction you can also buy gifts from the Toy Story films.
When we get to New York Street regardless of the time of year my Mother always go straight to It' s a Wonderful Shop where you can buy lots of ornaments and other “Chritmassy” items.
At Stage One Company Store you can buy Muppets merchandise as well as toys and children' s wear.
Our final stop is usually at The Writers Stop. We browse the books and then settle down with a coffee and a pastry.
I hope this guide has helped you but I am sure I may have missed some shops out that you will probably find next time you visit Hollywood Studios.
