Things to do in Tarpon Springs
Tarpon Springs Aquarium is located in Dodecaneses Boulevard and is open from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. daily except sunday when they open at a slightly later hour.
Here you can see sharks, tarpon and the jew fish which is an endangered species. Try to schedule your visit for feeding times when a diver hand feeds. This happens 4 times daily.
Children will love the ' Touch Tank' where they can pet sting rays and even baby sharks.
Of course, this is Florida so what can you guarantee you will see? No prizes for guessing the alligator and the feeding times for the ' gators is published in the daily time table.
Undoubtedly the star of the aquarium is the awesome ' Living Reef' This is something normally only experienced by divers but here you can marvel at the coral reef and the fish and sharks.

Tarpon Springs Winery is housed in buildings inspired by a 1920s Federal Palace.
Joseph and Diana Marks own this working winery and you can take a tour here from 11 a. m. daily.
This winery produces only a few thousand cases of wine a year ao this is probably your only chance of trying them. Expect to taste (and buy) Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Merlot. The wines are all made using traditional methods.
Once a month they hold a special event here. As I write they are planning 3 different parties; Hot July Days, Oooh La La and Flamingo Mania. These parties include live music and food. Consult their website for details.

The Sawgrass Tiki Bar is famed for its margaritas: indeed, this is the home of the 100 ounce margarita (yes, really one hundred ounce! )
The best tequila in the world comes from the blue agave plant and so that, of course is the base for their margaritas and the rest of the mix is a secret except that the tequila is mixed with triple sec and fresh lime.
Along with your margarita comes a complimentary bowl of pop corn.
However, as awesome as these margaritas are it is the karaoke that really draws the fun lovers to this place. There are 120. 000 tunes to choose from and you will perform against a tropical backdrop.
This is also the home to the drinks B. O. G. O. F. F Every night there is a 2 for 1 on selected drinks. This could be Iced Tea, Mud Slide, Whit Russian, Kamakazi Shots and Lemon Drop Shots.
