Universal Orlando – Part 3

Animal Planet Live is an Ark of animals. A racoon opens the show and Lassie, the well loved collie, makes an appearance. You’ll also see Gizmo, the parrot and other animals. It’s a fun show suited to young children.

‘Curious George Goes to Town’ is a no line, no waiting interactive aqua play area where kids can play and enjoy the water area. The clock tower periodically dumps 500 gallons down a roof and straight onto the kids. Kids love the pumps, valves and hoses that gush out. At the head of the square is a dry area where kids can play among the foam balls. Suitable for water babies of all ages.

E.T. Adventure - Bicycles mounted on a movable platform takes you through fantastic forests and across the moon in an attempt to help E.T ‘go home’ back to his planet. Suitable for all ages. Not recommended for guests with heart, back or neck problems or tendency for motion sickness.

Fievel’s Playland based on the adventures of mini-mouse, is a gigantic playground incorporating a four story net climb, tunnel slides, water play areas, ball crawls, a 200 foot water slide and a harmonica slide that plays music when you slide along the openings. Suitable to young children and their families.

Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coater is a low speed, mild thrill roller coaster with a top speed of 22 mph. It makes it safe for younger kids and action phobic adults. Suitable for young children and their parents. Minimum height 36”; Children 35-48” must ride with an adult.

Hollywood’s Tribute to Lucy is a walk through the collection of Lucille Ball’s costumes and other memorabilia. More suited for adults.

Terminator 2 is an advanced 3D adventure that mixes live action and film. Icy fog live actors, gunfights and a fantastically chilling grand finale keep the tension building. Kids may get scared. Not suitable for young children.

Universal Horror Make-up Show - On display in the entertaining pre-show area are masks and props and rubber skeletons from the film Scorpion King, a great backdrop for a family photo! The theatre brings a host of special effects with a surprise ending. Suitable to pre-teens to adults.

Don’t miss Universal’s seasonal evening parties, most notably Mardi Gras in early February through early April. Fiesta Caliente in May, Rock the Universe (September/Christian music), Halloween Horror nights in October and Grinchmas in November and December. Except for Halloween and Rock the Universe, these are included in the park admission.
