In part one I talked about spaceship earth and how it dominates your entrance to the park and superb way it tells about how communication has developed from prehistoric times through to today' s high tech digital age.
As you depart from the end of the ride you enter a whole new work of technology and ideas of high tech medicine, transportation and energy efficiency through the use of high tech games in Innovations West even the Kids will have fun discovering new things for their future.
There is the 3D interactive game Bodybuilder where you can learn about Siemens experiments to create a way of performing operations remotely so that a surgeon can operate on a patient anywhere in the world not just at his local hospital. There is also an interactive driving game to demonstrate motor vehicle accident avoidance system being developed and power city where you can see demonstrations of how power is managed within a city environment some thing that will become very important for our future.
The next place you will come across is innovations west, inside you will find a number of technological based themes such as ' where' s the fire' where you have to find all the fire hazards in the most dangerous house in America this is designed to help kids with their fire safety.
There is also an area called ' the great piggy bank adventure' this is dedicated in trying to teach children about personal investment and the need to save money for a life goal of their choice, IBM also has a area in here where they try to get kids to think about how technology can be used to make the world a safer more sustainable environment for us all in the future.
On the lighter side there is Videogame playground where you can challenge a villain in a duel against one of your favourite Disney characters in an adventure or compete against your favourite sports team using the latest video games technology.
I bet you’reading this and thinking this all sounds a little bit boring but I really can' t do it justice by putting pen to paper all the exhibits are stimulating for adults as well as children and in the way that you interact with the they are great learning fun without the kids even realising.
Definitely don' t give a Innovations West a miss because they really are great fun! This place makes learning fun!
