World Of Disney - Downtown Disney
No visit to Downtown Disney is complete without a visit to Disney’s famous World of Disney Store. However be prepared you may well be at least a couple of hours in here!
This really is the ultimate Disney Character store and here you will find themed sections in different rooms within its 50, 000 sq ft. It is probably best when you enter the store to arrange where to need should you get lost. It is so easy to spend a few minutes browsing only to find you have lost the rest of your party. Be especially vigilant to keep the little ones close by as they get very excited at all of the wonderful goods and can easily get lost.
In the Magic Room you will find a great selection of Photo frames, towels and snow globes. The frames are really perfect for your holiday photos.
The girls get really excited and enjoy the Princess Experience Room. Here there are Princess outfits, dolls, accessories, toys as well as the Bibbidi Boutique where little girls are transformed into a Disney Princesses. Here girls can get their hair, nails and makeup done. Reservations are strongly recommended. There are several packages ranging from hair and makeup to hair make up nails costume and photos, prices are from $50 to $200. I believe they also do a Hannah Montana makeover but I do not have any details of this.
My Mother spends much of her visit in the Enchanted Dining Room where there is a vast array of kitchen items, mugs and even more photo frames. She never leaves here without a Disney purchase for the kitchen at the villa.
In the Adventure Room you will find lots of clothing for boys.
I spend a fair amount of time in the Villains Room which has a lovely array of jewelry, watches, clocks, trading pins and collectibles.
My Father enjoys the Map Room with its computer software, CDs, stationery and Disney souvenirs featuring pens, pencils, magnets and key chains.
Although they have bedrooms full of soft toys the girls always pester us for more when they see all the toys in the Carnival Room.
Although quite expensive there are some beautiful men’s clothes in the Bird Room while the Snow White Room has a lovely selection of infant and toddler clothing and accessories.
We always leave a visit to the Great Hall until the end so we can browse the women' s clothing, sleepwear and various accessories. It is at this point Grandad usually volunteers to take the girls to get an ice-cream and onto a visit to the Lego shop where we meet them later.
