After you have just completed 18 holes on your favourite golf course you are feeling quite peckish but you don’t feel up to a formal sit down meal. You don’t need to look much further than to Beef’s !
As soon as you walk in to one of these chain of restaurants you are warmly greeted and shown to your own alcove and a good selection of beers are available on draft to quench that thirst. Popular local beers as well as some specialities are available. These are best served in an ice cold jug. In the centre of each jug is a frozen metal insert which keeps the beer chilled as would a block of ice but unlike ice which melts and dilutes the flavour of the beer the metal tube just keeps that ice cold fresh taste right down to the bottom of the jug! !
All around the walls are television screens showing all the important sporting events taking place both in the states and occasionally from around the world. Whether your taste is for Golf, Basketball, American Football, motor racing or even UK Premiership football updates all are covered depending on the time of year. It is not unusual for several different NFL games to be broadcast simultaneously around the room so choose your seat for the best view.
My favourite starter is Beef’s Wings. These Buffalo style chicken wings come in mild, medium, hot, extra hot and nuclear but to be honest the mild is pleasantly tangy and tastes great. I dread to think what Nuclear would do to your taste buds. These are served with Celery and blue cheese. If wings aren’t your thing then there are a good selection of other starters including Deep Fried Mushrooms, Potato Skins, Onion Rings, Jalapeno Poppers and simply Straight or Curly Fries. Soups and salads are also provided.
For main courses you can chose from a selection of mouth watering burgers, various baskets including Shrimp, Fish & Chips, Wings, Chicken Finger or Chili Cheese Dog! , as well as various sandwiches and wraps.
Well you enjoyed the golf, had a couple of beers and enjoyed the food. How do you get the family back in the evening to watch some more of your favourite sports channels. Well it’s quite easy. On a Tuesday night kid’s 12 and under eat free between 16:00 and 20:00 with a full paying adult.
My favourite Beef’s is on the corner of US27 and CR54 since it is only 3 minutes from my Villa on the Abbey at Westhaven. In the rear of the restaurant they have a selection of electronic games machines so bring a bag of quarters with you and the kids will entertain themselves while you relax and watch overtime!Page added on: 03 June 2007 Author: Mike Walden (Villa link: www.orlandovillas.com /florida-vacation-rental-1020.aspx) We aim to provide acccurate and useful information, but if you feel anything provided here is not accurate or out of date, please email us with the address of the page concerned and any commments so we can amend as necessary.
