Although relatively new, these two 18 hole Greg Norman designed, championship golf courses have fast made a name for themselves as among the best not only Florida, but the US has to offer. It is also home to the headquarters of the David Leadbetter golf academy with extensive complimentary practice facilities as a perk to visitors. This includes range balls plus the use of a huge putting green and a short game area with bunker. Staff are happy to arrange customised clinics.
A 35,000 square foot clubhouse includes complete dining, bar and lounge areas, a fully stocked pro shop and guest locker rooms.
The two golf courses provide an incredible amount a variety, with the International featuring an authentic links style layout, while the National is designed in the traditional American style with wood lined fairways and strategic water hazards. Club amenities include valet parking, iced towel service, and the top GPS system available – Prolink (on all carts). Besides the GPS, each course also has measurements posted on each tee box, daily pin placement information, and sprinkler heads on the fairways measured to the center of the green. Weather covers are standard on every cart. You can visit the Champions Gate website at http://www.championsgate.com/ and it is even possible to book a tee time online up to 30 days in advance. Reservations must be cancelled no later than 24 hours before reserved tee time to avoid penalty.
Dress Code: No Denim, Collared Shirt And Bermuda Shorts Required. If you prefer to walk rather than take a golf cart, this is only allowed with a caddie.

As well as the two 18 hole, there is also a shopping plaza and gas/petrol station, and the new OMNI Resort is due to open in October 2004 a European style Spa is also planned for the resort.
This is probably the most convenient supermarket for all the communities on Ronald Reagan Highway, the 54, it is also very handy for the US27, and junction 58 of the I4 is also located at the entrance to Champions Gate.
The plaza has an excellent Publix supermarket, McDonalds with a drive thru’, hair dressers, nail and tanning salon, liquor store, Chinese restaurant, video hire shop, Crepe restaurant, Pizza and pasta restaurant, dry cleaners amongst others.
Both the Chinese and the pizza and pasta restaurant will deliver. We can highly recommend both these restaurants, the pizzas are the best we’ve had anywhere in Florida!
