These can be found in abundance and you can get some very good savings and don’t have to just shop in the sales! RESTAURANTS You will find money off vouchers for most restaurants in the various freepublications you can collect throughout Florida. It is not only in Orlando thatthese are published. However some restaurants do not participate, I have onlyonce seen a voucher for Fridays and that was for a specific newly openedrestaurant. Many restaurants do Early Bird offers the times for these can vary between3.00pm- 7.00pm. Most restaurants do concessions for Senior Citizens (over 50 ) usually if youask they will give these even if they are not advertised. HOTELS The majority of Hotels, particularly in Orlando advertise their rates.However some, particularly near the Coasts do not and you can walk in and askthe rate which is sometimes open to negotiation. There are specific Hotel publication that you can get in Tourist informationOffices or in the foyer of many restaurants that advertise “walk in specials”i.e. youwalk in with the voucher to book for that day. AA/AAA If you are a member of the AA in the UK you will qualify for AAA discounts in America, many placesadvertise a AAA symbol outside. We got ours by phoning the AA in the UK whoissued us with an AAA card. I am not sure whether they still issue these or youjust use your original AA card, best to check with the AA before you travel. WEEKEND NEWSPAPERS These are crammed with vouchers and discount coupons. Ialways intend to read my book but at weekends sometimes never get further thanthe newspapers! Particularly good for vouchers for drugstores Walgreens andEckerd who we always seem to visit and they nearly always have offers for Colas,nail products etc. DISCOUNT COUPON BOOKS Can be found everywhere in Orlando as can specificvouchers for money off, i.e. Reebok nearly always have quite a substantial savingvoucher and this along with their many in store 3 for 2 offers mount up tosubstantial savings. I have yet to find discount vouchers for Nike althoughthey may exist. Money off entry to many Floridaattractions can also be found in these. PUBLIX This supermarket has its own publication usually situatedat the entrance to the store and in this you will find money off vouchers foritems in its store, they nearly always have some sort of offer on Beer andSodas. CRAZY GOLF Vouchers for discounts for these can be found in mostpublications. However many of these courses also give an additional discount forafternoon play. BELZ / PREMIUM OUTLETS In Belz go to the Information desk and ask for a book ofdiscount vouchers. At Premium Outlets you can go to the Information desk andeither present your AAA card or a voucher obtained in one of the freepublications and they give you a discount book. I believe Premium Outlets havestarting charging for these books if you don’t have the AAA card or a voucher. The savings in both outlets particularly in Ralph Laurencan be quite substantial. One final saving - in the Food Court at Premium Outletsbuy 3 Giant Toffee Apples and get the fourth free! We love them, cant possiblyeat them in one go , they keep in the fridge for about 4 days and are eatensliced, either on their own or with ice cream! Page added on: 21 July 2004
