Key West at Sam’s place is another restaurant in the Gaylord Palms complex.

Gaylord palms is situated on the Osceola parkway and South International Drive junction.

A huge building that you cannot fail to see especially at night, it is all lit up and at Christmas it is truly magnificent.

Totally different to the other restaurants ( Hickory steal house and Villa de Flora ) in the Gaylord Palm’s this one is made to look like a huge sail boat, at night it is all lit up and is very eye catching, a totally different style of dining.

While you are eating there is live entertainment, jugglers, a lady on stilts who makes the children animals out of balloons and gives them to the children at the tables, this proved to be very popular, there was also a singer / guitarist, a more casual type of restaurant than the other two and probably better for families with children.

The menu is varied but a lot of fish dishes, the dishes are extremely well presented and decorative, like those of the top class restaurants here in England and dishes like you would see presented on TV, the deserts are to die for, not at all ordinary and so beautifully presented you hardly want to touch them to eat them, a lot of people were actually photographing them before they ate them (us included!)

Like the other two restaurants it is advisable to book as they are extremely popular and get booked up very quickly.

This and the other two restaurant here are a good choice away from the usual type of dining found in Orlando and especially good if you are celebrating a special occasion. The other good thing is that after you have eaten you can have a wander around the place to help after consuming such big portions without even leaving the building. There is lots to see, at Christmas there is a huge tree and by going up in the glass fronted elevator you can look out and see everything it is really amazing.

Parking is no problem here either, you can park in the car park and walk into the building to the restaurant or you can take advantage of the valet parking, either way when you have eaten the restaurant will stamp your car parking ticket so that there is no charge.
