Best Things to Do at Disney
There are so many things that I enjoy at Disney but I thought I would try to list some of my favourites.
Go to Lion King at Animal Kingdom. When you get to the Park your guide map should give you the show times but be sure to get there at least thirty minutes before it starts as it can get very busy. This is a fantastic show that features Disney characters in wonderful costumes, singing, dancing, and performing acrobatics. No matter how many times I see this I always want to go back.
Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios is no longer a daily event so if you intend to go you are best to check on the internet for the times and plan your visit accordingly. This show is included in your admission to the Studios and is a fantastic nighttime extravaganza of music, fireworks, and special effects, all performed on a huge island stage constructed especially for this show. I find this show really moving.
You must ride on Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom it will really make you laugh but hold on tight and be prepared to get wet!
When the girls were younger we always had a character meal. In those days there were only a few to choose from but now you can choose from breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you will meet lots of the Disney characters enjoy a good meal and get some great photos.
Tour the world it is less than a mile at Epcot’s World Showcase. We always go as dusk is setting in and all the lights are coming on it is so magical and next time we plan to dine at the new restaurant in Mexico.
If you enjoy shows go to Cirque du Soleil this is a magical show that you will not forget. It is not a circus but it is hard to describe, everyone I have spoken to raves about it.
At Disney' s Animal Kingdom Adventure on Kilimanjaro Safaris is a must do for me every time we visit. The safari covers a 500-acre ' African' savannah in an open-air truck you can go on it many times and it will seem different every time.
We treat our selves to one special meal most holidays and we forget about fast food for one evening. Amongst our favourites are The California Grill at the Contemporary, the Flying Fish Cafe at the BoardWalk, Shula' s Steakhouse at The Dolphin, and Wolfgang Puck' s at Downtown Disney. However be sure to make advance reservations if you intend to go as they can get very busy.
These are just some of my best things I am sure you can think of many more.
