Championsgate Clubhouse Grille
Championsgate clubhouse grille is not to be mixed up with the championsgate golfclub bar, this one is actually inside the fabulous Omni resort which is an upscale golf themed resort which opened it’s doors in October 2004.The sixteen story Mediterranean themed building is very impressive and is an excellent full service hotel catering to conferences and tourists (you can even get married here) and it is also home also to two world class golf courses both of which were designed by Greg Norman and it is also home to the world headquarters of the David Leadbetters golf academy.
It was after a game of golf at the National course that we decided to visit the Omni for a spot of lunch, there are five unique restaurants to choose from but we chose to eat at the Clubhouse grille, which appeared to be a little posh to say the least, and we were expecting a very hefty bill for sure. But we were shown to our table and given the menu’s, which were surprisingly reasonably priced.
They offer a unique menu of healthy salads and hearty sandwiches along with some tempting fish dishes such as Tilapia (delicious)
I chose the Pulled barbecue hot pork served on ciabatta bread which was really delicious and the others in our party decided on the basil chicken ceaser wrap, Tuscan turkey panini which came with a salad or soup and the roast beef panini with caramelised red onions and peppers.
To drink we chose a chilled bottle of pinot grigio, which finished off our lunch beautifully.
We had two servers who did a wonderful job in looking after us. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service impeccable. The restaurant is quite large and beautifully decorated
. I would fully recommend the place and deservingly so, a lovely way to while a couple of hours away in elegant surroundings, totally unrushed we were left to enjoy our lunch in a very relaxed manor, sometimes I think the service can be a little overbearing with the servers making you feel slightly uncomfortable but here it isn’t so, they are extremely professional and very polite.
We would certainly visit here again without any hesitation and if this were anything to go by then I would love to try some of the other unique restaurants on offer in the hotel. Hopefully we won’t have too long to wait before our next visit and maybe you should give it a try.
