Walt Disney World Speciality Cruises
Speciality cruises are offered at many locations around the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando and many of these cruises end with a fantastic view of their firework shows. If you are celebrating a special occasion or just want to relax for the day out on the water, this could be the perfect solution.
There are lots of different options from which to choose including the type of boat (these include pontoon boats and luxury yachts) and also the location in which you would like to cruise. Many boats come complete with a crew and a captain and you may choose to make your cruise as casual as you wish, whether it be a celebratory floating party or a simple relaxing fishing party.
Below I have given you just a snippet of some of the cruises on offer. . . . .
For that extra special celebration why not cruise the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake on the luxurious Grand Floridian’s Grand 1. This is a forty-five foot Sea Ray Sedan Bridge yacht which will accommodate up to fourteen people and is the perfect place to view Magic Kingdom’s firework show “Wishes”. Private butler service and gourmet meals are available on board the Grand 1. Reservations are definitely recommended and can be made up to ninety days in advance by calling 407-824-2682.
Disney’s speciality cruises also cater for children. At Port Orleans Riverside they offer a “Bayou Pirate Cruise”. Hunting for treasure on the high seas of Walt Disney World’s resort they will set sail from the marina on a voyage of discovery learning all about the formidable pirates whilst enjoying a satisfying meal on board. Their task is to look for the treasure at each port they visit. The cruises are only held on certain days so best to check when reserving places by telephoning 407-WDW-PLAY.
One of the most popular cruises is the IlluminNatins cruise aboard a pontoon boat. Your boat will sit under the International Gateway bridge at Epcot, so you will have a brilliant view of the fireworks. These twenty-one foot boats will accommodate up to a maximum of ten guests. The boats have a canopy which may come in handy is rain is forecast! When you rent the boat it is yours for the duration whether there are only the two of you or a large party. Only the guests that you have invited will be on board, so you won’t be sharing with strangers. You are allowed to take your own food and drinks onboard. Again reservations are recommended by calling 407-WDW-PLAY up to ninety days in advance. Your credit card number will be taken to hold the reservation and if you decide to cancel you must give at least twenty-four hours notice or your card will be charged. You have been warned!
