Once you have manage to drag the women away from the toiletries department you enter the Guys zone in here they sell lots and lots of car parts including everything needed to service your car but being on holiday you will not be needing any of this but as all guys you still have to look at the exhausts, tyres and all the shiny bits that you could buy to “pimp up your ride” as the kids say.
Next area along is the sporting goods area where you can buy so many things including ( if you were a USA citizen with the correct id) a shotgun or handgun, if your into most sports that are popular in the USA then you will find some things to buy here.
Further along is the home entertainment area where there is a huge range of DVD’s, CD’s and the games console area, you will quickly find the kids are drawn to this area for many, many minutes or hours. But more importantly this is the area for the electronic devices such a wide screen TV’s and the fantastic looking plasma screens etc., there is a great range of goods here especially if you looking to furnish a rental home with electrical items or lots of finishing touches then Wal-Mart is great due to the massive choice.
Further along is the clothing and shoes area where some bargains can be found. This area is large but its mostly cheap brand items and won’t be to everyone’s choice although it is good for some disposable holiday wear.
Lastly you are into the food area now this is great as the choice is really good maybe not as good as some of the Publix supermarket but Wal-Mart stock much muck more than just groceries
One thing I have noticed about the groceries in all USA supermarkets is that the salad stuff is kept in a chiller and is actually automatically watered to keep it fresh and there is a noticeable difference in taste to the salad we are sold in the UK, the tomatoes are particularly good and make sure that you check out the sweet onions which are gorgeous, plus the amount of fresh fruit available is fantastic.
There is lots more in store than I have been able to mention in this short guide at Wal-Mart in fact they stock almost everything, but the best thing about Wal-Mart is the price its very, very good value, especially when compared to the UK prices but you will find yourself measuring all prices with the prices offered by Wal-Mart
