Celebration Restaurants – Update
There have been some changes at Celebration over the last year or so but it remains a great place to go for a lunch or for an evening meal. It is such a pleasant environment and people there, including the drivers tend to be polite and considerate.
Sherlocks has gone now and has been replaced by Shannons which claims to provide authentic Irish food. Everything is home cooked although I' m not sure about how Irish all the dishes are as the menu includes items like Greek Salad! We have yet to try this but you have the choice of sitting inside, on the pavement or in the courtyard.
The Town Tavern is still there and the menu remains similar but they have done away with the swing seats and have roofed over the courtyard and built a large bar in the center with dining tables around it. It looks good but I think it lacks the character of the previous décor.
Market Street Cafe is still in the same place but it is under new ownership and is now definitely a diner. Recent reviews have been mixed whereas previously it was one of the favourite locations for Sunday Brunch.
CafeD' Antonio' s appears to be as popular as ever and you will need to book if you want to sample their great Italian food.
Next door is Seito' s the Japanese restaurant. This is another place we have still to try so I cannot really comment on the food.
Just around the corner you will find Columbia Spanish restaurant. The food is good here and they do some good tapas. You have the choice of dining inside or outside and it is lovely on a balmy evening to sit and watch the world go by. I wish they had more comfortable outside chairs though!
If you head up Market Street there are two new places to eat and both are very good in their own ways.
First you come to the Imperium Wine Bar, which has a wonderful selection of wines and also serves excellent Bistro style food. Everything here is beautifully presented and each dish is full of flavour.
Up at the top of the road, on the corner is the newly opened Thai Thani, which as its name suggests serves Thai food. You may already be familiar with the same restaurant on International Drive. There is a large menu and the service and food are excellent. Don' t worry if you don' t like food that is too spicy as it is possible to have many meals that are only lightly spiced.
All in all Celebration is a great place to spend a few hours away from the bustle of the parks.
