No, sorry to disappoint you, although at times you may want to this doesn’t mean you can trade your tired, hot and naughty child for a very well behaved robot version. Sorry if you got all excited. This little service is the next best thing for people travelling with little ones though.
Most of the Disney and Universal parks in Florida offer a child swap service which we think is a great idea if all your party want to do a particular ride and you have a little one with you who is too young or too small. This service can also be used in the fast pass queue.
All your party must queue up for the ride together, when you come across an attendant let them know you will be wanting to use the child swap service.
When it’s your time for your party to join the ride the attendant will show you and your little one the way to go for the child swap room where you can wait for the rest of your party. These rooms normally have a television showing childrens programs and maybe a few toys around. We have always found them to be very clean and comfortable.
After the ride has finished the members of your party who have ridden can ask the attendant to show them the way back to the child swap room, after they arrive back it’s then time for the person who has stayed with child to ride.
Let one of the attendants know you have just used the child swap service and you will be shown the way to the front of the queue.
We have used this service on all our trips to the parks and have found it to be a great idea, this way you don’t have to queue twice and nobody misses out on the wonderful rides all these parks have to offer, in fact some of the party can ride twice. If you don’t want to go on the ride alone and you have a few people in your party the attendants will let other members who have already ridden ride twice.
When our little ones were asleep and we don’t want them to wake, a few of the ride attendants have let us use the disabled access to take us down to the child swap room in their pram. You will find all the staff at all the parks very accommodating to the younger generation.
